Dean Caldwell Strother (1908-2000) was born in Winfield, Kansas, and attended local schools before receiving a Congressional appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York. Dan Clark Ogle (b. 1901, Keithsburg, Ill.-d. April 30, 1990), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from medical school and began service in the Medical Corps Reserve in 1929, receiving a Regular commission in the Medical Corps the following year.
